Jim Mooney - President & CEO
References-Online was founded after Jim Mooney had successfully driven top-line growth and bottom-line contributions for a number of technology, Internet and other high-growth companies.
Prior to References-Online, Mooney was one of the earliest employees of deuxo, inc. where he served as the Vice President of North American Sales. At deuxo, he was responsible for the overall operations of the sales team, creating alternate sales channels and reseller partnerships, and building innovative sales strategies.
Mooney has had success at all levels of sales including the selling of complex business solutions to large corporations including Coca-Cola, American Airlines, Wal-Mart, United Airlines, Shell, Phillips, and Northwestern Mutual Life. Before joining deuxo, Mooney also had a consistent record of overachievement in sales positions held at Okidata, Tickets.com, Avail Systems and Experian. While at Okidata, Mooney's sales expertise enabled him to make president's club for 6 years. At Avail Systems,Mooney was the highest rated sales representative in the United States.
Mooney graduated from Ft. Lauderdale College with a degree in Business Management.
Daniel Montoya - Vice President of Operations, is a customer-oriented business professional with over twenty five years of combined experience in Consultative Sales, Marketing, Business Process Consulting, Program and Operations Management.
Daniel has worked directly with major companies in several industries including High-Tech, Enterprise Software, Aerospace, Industrial, Energy, Medical, Pharmaceutical and Consumer Goods.
Prior to joining References Online, Daniel was Program Manager of Consulting Services for i2 Technologies where he was responsible for successful customer implementations of Supply Chain Management solutions and generation of $5 million in annual Services revenue.
Other assignments include Presales Business Consulting at i2 where he contributed to over $10 million in annual sales; Knowledge Management where he was responsible for development and delivery of training, coaching and materials for i2 Presales Consultants; Product Marketing for SMC Networks where he developed marketing programs to support generation of $30 million in annual revenue. Dan was also the Director of Professional Services for CADIS, a Component and Supplier Management solutions company where he established the Services practice and organization, responsible for successful customer implementations and generation of over $3 million.
Dan holds a B.S. degree in Natural Resources Management from Colorado State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Lisa Hoesel - Director of Customer Conversation, is a seasoned information technology strategist with over fifteen years of experience in internal strategic consulting and information business plan development, information technology and telecommunications project management, planning, and implementation, product development, operations management, and regulatory compliance.
In her role as National Account Manager, Lisa works with References-Online clients to maximize the utilization of the services to which they have subscribed and to support their sales, marketing, and business development executives in the development of innovative strategies to extend the reach of their customer reference programs. Lisa also conducts audio and video reference interviews and provides extensive support for development of client rollout strategies and training of References-Online solutions.
Lisa has worked in, and with, major organizations in several industries including Telecommunications, Banking and Finance, Customer Service and Non-Profit. Prior to her relationship with References-Online, Hoesel was Vice President of Information Technology for the American Heart Association, where she was responsible for I.T. strategic planning, national project management and internal customer relationship management, vendor relations, contract negotiation and management.
Before AHA, Lisa was with U.S. Bancorp as Vice President of Telecommunications where she planned, executed and managed the first self-healing fiber networks deployed by a financial operations department; managed all major vendor relationships; and was the key telecommunications regulatory point person for regulatory bodies and the financial information technology audit community.
During her tenure with U.S. Bancorp, Lisa Hoesel was selected by then Oregon State Governor Barbara Roberts to a special task force on telecommunications in the 21st Century and a member of U.S. West’s executive advisory council.
Lisa holds a double B.A. in Political Science and English from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR.
Peggy Darrah has extensive experience in customer relationship management (CRM), marketing, channel development and project management. With over 13-years of professional experience in High Tech Sales & Marketing Peggy has worked in, and with many major organizations in several industries.
Peggy developed and implemented sales practices with companies such as Prime Response, Abacus and XAware. Peggy developed channel partnership programs for Exodus Communications and most recently with Level 3 Communications, designing go-to-market strategies and implementing joint market campaigns with strategic customers.
In her role with Level 3, managing their Master Reseller partner program, Peggy facilitated the use of References-Online Reference Management solutions and played an active role in developing references for the partners she supported.
Peggy has vast experience assisting sales teams by providing high-quality sales tools, CRM training, and marketing support. She has held two Marketing Manager roles, as well as a Sales Operations Manager position; she clearly understands how to develop programs to help sell a wide array of products and services.
In her role with References-Online, Peggy manages implementations of References-Online solution. She leads the planning, organizing, and managing of resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives for key clients.
Sharon Parsons brings over 20 years of Sales, IT, Account Management and Project Management experience to References Online.

Specific assignments include conducting and implementation of audio and video testimonials for Reference onDemand, Project Management for Reference View Implementations and Customer Reference Assessments.
Sharon’s background includes: Managing customer relationship programs to insure satisfaction; Project management of customer implementations and product development; negotiation of client service contracts.
Prior to joining References-Online, Sharon worked in outside sales in various industries including Insurance, Staffing and Recruiting, IT and Overnight Shipping.
Sharon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from San Francisco State University and possesses excellent time management, computer skills and outstanding interpersonal and communications skills.
Christy DeBernardi has over nine years of information systems experience including: project management, business analysis, helpdesk design and management, requirements gathering, data analysis, systems analysis, end user training and support, and database design and support. Christy has worked in various industries including telecommunications, office supplies, fine paper merchanting, professional sports, and oil and gas.
Prior to joining References Online, Christy was working for four years as a Business Systems Analyst for PaperlinX Europe in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. One project, for which she was responsible, was the management and delivery of a study to assess the feasibility of a European wide Sales and Marketing data warehouse initiative. Christy worked closely with the PMO and the European Sales & Marketing team to design the future Sales & Marketing information system based on study results.
Christy has also worked at Corporate Express (CEXP) directly with merchandising group and suppliers on a data reporting program to identify high volume product sale opportunities. She assisted in the definition, execution and analysis of mutually beneficial sale opportunities based on supplier goals. Christy received litigation experience from Arthur Anderson where she performed business and data analysis for many large class action lawsuits.
Christy attended Colorado State University where she received a B.S. degree in Communication Disorders and an M.S. degree in Accounting.
Assignments with References-Online include customer reference assessments and reference interviews for Reference-OnDemand. Also, Christy has worked as a Project Manager for Reference View Implementations including project definition, execution and configuration of systems.
